“Let God Arise and let His enemies be scattered”...... Psalm 68:1

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.  And He said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed. Isaiah 6:8-10 KJV “Celebrating 29+ years of service to Jesus Christ since September 1992".  ___________________________________________

Conviction There comes a time in the heart of a Christian believer that going through the motion of Christianity is not satisfying. This believer in Jesus Christ began to ask God,” is there more Lord”? This happened to me in the early 1990’s when I began to earnestly Seek God and ask this question,” Lord Jesus is this all I am supposed to do for you, go to work, make money, go to church, tithe, come home and repeat the same over and over”? One day I read this scripture in Isaiah; Here am I; send me. And He Said, Go, and tell this people…and I responded to the Lord in prayer Lord I make myself available for your service Amen. Call Shortly thereafter, I received a phone call from a friend. Tom, I have been ministering to the elderly residents at Covenant Village and will not be able to continue. Would you be willing to fill in for me? I remembered my prayer promise to the Lord and said, yes. Every Sunday for 1 ½ years I shared the love of Jesus with the elderly residents. I saw God move and save many souls. The very first resident at Covenant Village, a Jewish man, prayed and accepted Jesus Christ as his Messiah. God began opening doors into the prisons.  As a lay minister I shared the love of Jesus Christ with the inmates at Frank Lee prison. One day a Pastor friend invited several brothers in Christ to attend a Gathering for special prayer from several seasoned Christian brothers he was in relationship with. When one of the brothers prayed for me he said, Tom, the Lord is saying to you,” it is time to put on your running shoes for he is rolling out the red carpet and what he is doing in your starts today”. During the same Gathering a brother receiving prayer said, Tom,” the Lord just showed me that you are supposed to go with me to the city jail this Sunday”. One day the chaplain at the MCDF (Montgomery County Detention Facility) invited me to volunteer to share the love of Jesus in the county jail.  In September 1992 the chaplain called me and said his wife was very sick. They were leaving Alabama and returning home to Louisiana. He said that he had been praying for someone to replace him as chaplain and the Lord kept putting my name on his heart. Commitment Tom, would you be willing to replace me as the Facilities Chaplain to the Montgomery County, city and federal jails? After praying the Lord gave me peace and assurance that this was His leading and I accepted the chaplain’s mantle. Command   During prayer one day the Lord impressed upon my heart, Son,” When you go into the jails to minister you are there to minister to me”. I will take care of and bring to salvation the inmates”. I was asked one day by someone inquiring about the jail ministry, “Tom how many souls have you saved in the jails”?  I responded, “not one but I have witnessed Jesus Christ save thousands”. Commission Then Jesus said, "Go into the world. Go everywhere and announce the Message of God's good news to one and all. Whoever believes and is baptized is saved; whoever refuses to believe is damned. Mark 16:15-16 MSG  Love always, Tom & Beth
