But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. I Peter 2:9-10 KJV

Greetings Chosen of God,

What a time we live in to be followers of Jesus Christ. We are hearing of revivals breaking out in the Great state of Alabama and Mississippi. Recently over 1,000 souls committed their lives to Jesus Christ who were formerly involved in gangs in the state of Mississippi. Last Easter Sunday over 86,000 souls attended over 17 campuses from one church in Alabama with a staggering one day total of 10,000 decisions for Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord!

This week in one of the chapel services in the County jail, one of the inmates shared a story when he was growing up and playing football in his school in order to make the rooster on the football team, which only allowed 29 players, you had to tryout. He said,  many young men worked hard during the tryout season but only to find out that they did not make the team and were cut. He said one year only 25 young men came out to play football and yet that particular year they still had tryouts but every young man that went out for the team knew in the back of their minds that they were already members of the team no matter how they performed during tryouts.

What a blessing to know in our hearts that we have made the team. Yes, God's team. Yes, as believers in Jesus Christ there are no tryouts or  probationary periods to follow. You cannot be cut due to lack of performance. The only requirement Jesus Christ ever gave to us to be a part of His team is that you believe in the one that God the Father sent. John 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. WOW!!! All those souls in Mississippi and Alabama did not have to tryout to make God's team they simply heard the message of God's unconditional love through His son Jesus Christ and believed in Him in their hearts. This makes them and all of those who believe, citizens of heaven, a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation and a peculiar people. Don't flaunt it, live it, love it and enjoy it. You are a member of God's Team now and forever more Amen!!! In Christ's Agape Love, Tom & Beth
