“Let God Arise and let His enemies be scattered”......Psalm 68:1

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death . Revelation 12:11 KJV

*Celebrating over 25+ years of ministry to those behind bars in our local jails in Montgomery, Alabama. A special thank you to the volunteers and all of you who have prayed for, encouraged and supported me/us in this ministry over the years.

When those your are called to serve grow in faith in their relationship with Jesus Christ and they are not ashamed to share their testimony God bumps rise on the back of your neck and arms. Brother Jim(JesusInMe) and myself had this wonderful experience during chapel service this week. An inmate who had been in and out of prison most of his life was very skeptical, even, hardened toward God. He said, "that he did not want to have anything to do with God". He had a visit from his grandfather who simply asked his grandson have you tried God"? The inmate shook his head and gave his grandfather some lame excuse. His grandfather said, "he would pray for him". He had a visit from his grandmother and she said, to her grandson "have you tried God"? Sensing that something was up and again he told her that he was not interested in a relationship with God. She left and said that she would pray for him. He shared with us in the chapel service about his drug use and drug dealings. He had a hard life and just was not interested in a relationship with God. Remember when Jesus told Peter during a fishing trip that he would no longer be a fisher of fish but a fisher of men's souls. Witnessing God on a fishing expedition is a site to see. He baits the hook and cast the baited hook into the open sea of men's souls. Finally realizing that God was pursing him the inmate started to come to chapel service. The prayers of his grandfather and grandmother began to take hold of this man's soul and God was getting ready to reel him into His boat of salvation. He heard the gospel in Chapel and repented of his sins and invited Jesus Christ into his heart. He has been faithfully attending chapel service but he was rather quiet and simply listened to what the Lord had for him during those times until this week when he asked if he could share his testimony. "Bam" God showed up and once again showed off. How can anyone resist the love of God? This man couldn't and didn't and now he is another successful catch by the Master fisherman Jesus Christ! Until the next fishing story remember God never gives up on the lost. In His Agape Love always, Tom & Beth
