“Let God Arise and let His enemies be scattered” ......Psalm 68:1

Elisha had become sick with the illness of which he would die. Then Joash the king of Israel came down to him, and wept over his face, and said, "O my father, my father, the chariots of Israel and their horsemen! ”And Elisha said to him, "Take a bow and some arrows." So he took himself a bow and some arrows. Then he said to the king of Israel, "Put your hand on the bow." So he put his hand on it, and Elisha put his hands on the king's hands. And he said, "Open the east window"; and he opened it. Then Elisha said, "Shoot"; and he shot. And he said, "The arrow of the Lord's deliverance and the arrow of deliverance from Syria; for you must strike the Syrians at Aphek till you have destroyed them." Then he said, "Take the arrows"; so he took them. And he said to the king of Israel, "Strike the ground"; so he struck three times, and stopped. And the man of God was angry with him, and said, "You should have struck five or six times; then you would have struck Syria till you had destroyed it! But now you will strike Syria only three times." Then Elisha died, and they buried him. And the raiding bands from Moab invaded the land in the spring of the year. II Kings 13:14-20 NKJV
“Celebrating 34+ years of service to Jesus Christ since September 1992
Jesus Christ stayed connected to God the Father throughout His earthly ministry through prayer. We read in the Bible where Jesus would spend all night with the Father alone without the distractions of the world in prayerful conversation with God. He would descend from the mountaintop into the valley and the Spirit of the Lord was upon Him to preach the gospel of the Kingdom of God, heal the sick, cast out demons and to raise the dead back to life. Witnessing the power and authority upon Jesus the disciples asked Jesus to, “Teach us to pray”. Jesus said pray like this,” Our Father which art in heaven hallowed be thy Name”…According to Jewish tradition G-D was Holy and unapproachable even His name was respected and honored that to say His name would be offensive. Jesus teaches us to pray Our Father which to his followers was a radical revelation breaking with the religious tradition of their day. In the days of Elisha the prophet the nation of Israel was in disarray and under constant assaults from their enemy. King Joash knowing that Elisha was close to death and Elisha was his connection to God weeps and cries out, “O my father, my father. God through his servant Elisha gives direction to King Joash to fire the arrows through the open window to the east and King Joash obeyed and did as Elisha said, “The arrows of God’s deliverance”. Then Elisha said to take the arrows and strike the ground and King Josah struck the ground three times and Elisha was angry saying that he should have struck the ground 5 or six times for complete victory over the enemies of Israel. As believers in Jesus Christ we need to remind ourselves that Greater is He (Jesus Christ) who is in us then he (father of lies) who is in the world. Let us stayed armored up, prayed up, worded up, repented up, stand up and lift up our voices to God Our Father in Heaven knowing that Jesus Christ is Victorious over all the enemies’ lies and deceptions. God encourages us to pray without ceasing, pray toward the east (Jerusalem) the city of God, watch and pray always. Prayers release the arrows of heaven upon the enemies of God. Love Always, Tom & Beth
